Hanover Board of Supervisor member Elton J. Wade is really raking in Hanover County tax dollars.

His Board member salary is $23,635 according to the 2008 pay information we FOIA'd from the County last week.

But what really gets to most people is his current "Traffic Guard" salary as provided to us by Hanover County School central office.

The last time we wrote about this was back in October, 2003 when he was only making $21,652 for the job (about 1 and a 1/2 hours a day for 180 days).

But now his "Traffic Guard" salary has increased to $29,369 per the salary information gotten thru a Freedom of Information request from Hanover County, VA School Board office.

Yep, he's sucking up those tax dollars! Here's a suggestion: Since Hanover has Deputies acting as "Resource officers" at the schools, why don't they get out there and direct traffic for 45 minutes in the AM and 45 minutes in the afternoon? See the Resource officers' pay in the "Sheriff" section of the salary info.
